There is a significant information gap around menopause — in how it is understood, how it is treated, and how women are supported through it. Most women feel this gap without understanding it: things are not right, but the full picture is hard to find and hard to grasp.
I offer one-to-one consultations to close that gap — addressing your specific questions and concerns, with guidance individualised for you.
What You Gain From a Consultation
A conversation and questions your doctor does not have the time or the training to answer. Online searches leave you more confused than informed. Friends can only offer opinions.
A consultation is where the information gap gets closed and from where you can move forward.
A Consultation Is For You When:
Your HRT is not working for you
You are on HRT but feel it is not working well for you. You want to improve your health and well-being, your symptoms, you want to feel better, look better, manage your weight. Individualising and optimising your HRT is your best tool for putting a solid foundation in place and building from this. Optimising your HRT is about adjusting and finding what truly works for your body — the right combination and balance of hormones (oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone), systemic and/or topical HRT, delivery method, dosage and protocol.
You are doubting HRT — or have been told it is not for you
You are doubting HRT. You are not sure if it is safe or right for you. You want a real, honest conversation based on facts, not fear and to know how the science and safety of HRT has evolved. This is also about understanding what going without HRT means for your symptoms, your current health, and the long-term implications for your heart, your bones and your brain, and what other options are available to you. It is about making an informed decision that is right for you.
Or you have been told that HRT is not an option for you, because of your family history or a previous diagnosis. A consultation gives you access to and guidance on the latest evidence on HRT and safety, so you are better informed to discuss this with your doctor: asking better questions, opening a more nuanced conversation about risks and benefits, and making sure that any decision is based on informed consent rather than a blanket statement.
Getting the right exercise and nutrition in menopause
You are finding that what used to work for your weight, your energy, your body no longer does. In menopause you now have a changed biology and what works is specific to that changed biology.
Getting this right matters. The right exercise strategies and nutritional approach — specific to a woman's body in menopause — have a direct and positive impact on your symptoms, the way you look and feel, as well as your future health. When you understand what your body needs in this stage of life, you have the knowledge to commit and do the work. And the results are real. This is about powerful aging: staying strong, healthy and vital. Remember, a strong body is your ticket to a full and independent later life. Addressed alongside HRT, this delivers great results.
A consultation is for you when you are looking for solid ground in menopause.
How It Works
To make the most of our time together and prepare for your consultation, I will send you a short questionnaire beforehand.
The consultation takes place in two parts.
The first part is a 20 to 30 minute intake, online or by phone. A conversation where you can share your concerns, your questions, your symptoms, what you have tried and what you need — and where we can identify the information gap. Your questionnaire will be part of this conversation.
Between the two parts, I prepare your personalised information and action plan.
The second part is the full one-hour consultation, in person in Dublin or online. This is where we go deep into understanding your specific situation, how menopause is affecting your body — looking to build your knowledge, giving you information and discussing different options to improve on how you are feeling and doing. Empowering and preparing you to advocate for your health, to get the right healthcare, and to put effective exercise and nutrition strategies in place.
A personalised, clear and actionable plan is included.
A follow-up session of 50 minutes is available if you want to go deeper, continue the conversation, or check in after implementing changes.
