Talks & Presentations

Menopause is not just a personal experience — it shapes how women feel, perform and show up in every area of their lives. These presentations bring evidence-based information on menopause, hormones, HRT and lifestyle to general audiences and organisations alike.

Menopause Matters — Workplace Presentation

Workplaces are made up of people at different stages of life. And when we understand those stages better, we are moving towards a culture of awareness and support.

Many women suffer in silence, and one in ten leaves the workforce because of menopause-related symptoms. This affects not only the woman, but represents a significant loss for organisations and for society. When women are informed and supported, they are better equipped to navigate this stage — and more likely to stay, contribute and thrive.

This presentation opens up the conversation. It covers what perimenopause and menopause are biologically, how this hormonal shift affects the body and the brain, the range of symptoms of menopause and how they can affect working life.

Beyond the menopause symptoms, the presentation gives women in your organisation the full picture — what this hormonal shift means for their health today and in the long term, the real science around HRT, and the lifestyle strategies available to them. So they can navigate this stage with agency and make informed decisions — not be left in doubt and confusion, not rely on fear or outdated science, and not be misled by the misinformation and conflicting narratives that surround this subject. Most doctors have not been trained in menopause and hormones — a consequence of the long-standing fear of hormones that stems from outdated science. That makes access to accurate, evidence-based information all the more important.

For colleagues and managers, this presentation brings insight into what women in menopause are actually experiencing. It is not simple — not just a matter of managing hot flashes, but a complex and often confusing stage where getting clear, reliable information is genuinely hard.

Something as simple as awareness — knowing that menopause can affect sleep, focus, confidence or energy, and knowing how loaded and complicated this subject can be for women — can change how we see each other and how we respond. It moves us away from judgement and towards support.

Menopause is not just a personal experience. It is part of an informed and inclusive workplace culture.

Duration: approx. one hour, followed by Q&A. Suitable for: organisations, HR teams, staff groups of any size. Presentations can be tailored to a specific audience and context.

Powerful Aging for Women — Public Presentation

This presentation is about aging powerfully, something more ambitious than aging gracefully. It is about maintaining a strong body and a sharp mind, driving your own evolution, and living later life independently and to the fullest.

Menopause is a major hormonal and biological shift, and most women enter this stage uninformed and unprepared. This presentation explains the biology of what is happening in the body. In perimenopause the hormones are fluctuating, and this comes with symptoms that can profoundly affect how a woman feels and functions. What follows is menopause itself: a state of hormone deficiency which continues for the remainder of a woman's life, and comes with its own symptoms and profound consequences for the whole body.

Menopause is the point where the story turns, and when the choices you make start to matter most. The name menopause is misleading, because it is about much more than the end of menstrual cycles. What is actually happening is ovarian aging: a process in which the body no longer produces the vital hormones oestrogen and progesterone. These hormones have regulated every cell, tissue and organ in the body. When the body is left without them, every system is affected — brain, bones, heart, gut, immune system, metabolism, and more.

This presentation looks at HRT — what it is, how it supports the body, the different types of HRT available, and how to optimise HRT to make it work for you.

It also examines the common objections and concerns around HRT — not to dismiss them, but to understand where they come from, look at them honestly, and place them against facts and science. Most women have never been taught to reason about HRT, and without that you are left with assumptions, fears, and other people's opinions rather than an informed decision that is yours and right for you.

The final part of this presentation covers lifestyle adjustments that are important and specific to this phase of life. A changed biology requires different exercise strategies and a different nutritional approach. Many women find that what used to work for their body no longer does. Learning and knowing what your body needs makes for a real commitment and brings real results. The right exercise supports your metabolism, manages weight, improves sleep and lifts energy. It builds the muscles that keep you strong. A strong body is a healthy body, and building one will improve how you are feeling and doing today and is an investment in your future health.

Duration: approx. one hour, followed by Q&A. Suitable for: women of all ages and the men in their lives. Presentations can be tailored to a specific audience and context.
